Outlaws Practice Report – 2/15/2021

“I’ll Call You Back” Nano X: Pack drops now exclusively for members.

Despite reports of severe weather in the area, the semi pro football team Effingham Outlaws practiced locally. Their field of choice in Bryan County was closed for the day as were some other businesses because of Presidents Day. Still, the Outlaws made due. The storm was from Winter Storm Uri which has left it’s devastating affect on states like Texas and Louisiana. Local reports said Highway 30 near Port Wentworth saw hail.

About 20 players showed up including some recently acquired players. Reports from the team are that the offense moved the ball well. One captain said “We marched up and down the field.” However, there continued to be positive reports out of the defense. The Outlaws have been confident in the defense since they began practicing weeks ago. One defensive player told me last week “We have been on the same page since day one. Defense is our strong suit.”

Wednesday the Outlaws return to the Bryan County Recreational Department looking for more players to show and to build on team chemistry. Tune in to the team Facebook page for LIVE video streams on that evening. There is an 80% chance of rain when practice begins at 7pm.
