Low scores late, Rebels win preseason opener at home

Reed Low’s second goal of the game broke a tie with 2:49 left in regulation to lift Fort Saskatchewan to an 11-10 win.

Thursday night (June 24th), the Rebels topped the Sherwood Park Outlaws to open up the 2021 preseason.

Captain Ethan Pedersen had four goals to lead the young fort team on offence. Zach Wildeboer and Morgan Baker led the Outlaws up front in the loss.

Rebels netminders Jordan Peck and Mitch Adams shared the net in the victory.

Next up, Fort Saskatchewan will host the St. Albert Crude in their second tune up game at the JRC on Tuesday night at 7:30pm.

The North Division Playoffs will take place from July 20-25th in Fort Saskatchewan.
