The Green Bay Packers were getting quarterback Aaron Rodgers back from the COVID list on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. Russell Wilson also was back from his finger injury. However, Green Bay’s defense was the story in this one as they shut out Seattle 17-0.
This was the first time in Wilson’s career that he was shut out in a football game. The Packers defense has been stout the past few weeks and they were extremely impressive last week on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs despite losing to them 13-7.
If Green Bay is going to continue playing defense like this, no one is going to beat them in the NFC. With Aaron Rodgers around, they feel like they are the team to beat in the NFC.
They recorded three sacks and also picked off Russell Wilson twice. This is one of the best defensive units in the NFL. Green Bay is well-coached by Matt LaFleur. Joe Barry is currently the Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator. He has to be pleased with what he is seeing.
The Green Bay Packers slowed down Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals a couple of weeks ago. In order to get to the Super Bowl, they are going to have to slow down players like Dak Prescott (DAL), Matthew Stafford (LAR), and Tom Brady (TB).
Don’t look now, but this may be the best team in the NFL also because of Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon in the backfield. Davante Adams is also one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.
The Green Bay Packers are back into the number one seed in the AFC with the Arizona Cardinals losing to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday afternoon.
The Green Bay Packers (8-2) next game will be on the road next Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings (4-5).
The Seattle Seahawks (3-6) next game will be at home against the Arizona Cardinals (8-2) next Sunday.
