I didn’t see any of these teams getting this far, so my bracket has been burned and we just won’t talk about it.
Let’s take a look at the west first here:
I like Vegas in all aspects of this series except for leadership. Dallas has the upper hand when it comes to that, but they’re going to have to overcome having a worse goaltender, defensive core and offensive ability. Vegas comes at teams for 60 minutes, where the Avs only come at teams for 6. If the Stars want a chance they’ll need Dobby to play out of his mind and Vegas to spend too much time in the sin bin.

Over in the east we have a real weird series. The almost homeless Islanders take on the Tampa Bay Lightning who’ve been the playoff choke artists over the past four seasons. Can New York shut down Tampa’s offence? Can the Bolts handle the Isles work ethic? Who knows. I like Tampa Bay in this series, but would be thrilled to see NYI pull off the upset.
