A shortened season could be the best thing possible for the Chicago Cubs.
Wrigley will have a different feel this season, but the Cubbies could still make some noise.
Hear me out, through 60 games last season:
Baez: .306/.347/.584 16 HR
Bryant: .270/.385/.536 13 HR
Contreras: .291/.397/.559 13 HR
Rizzo: .280/.392/.555 16 HR
Sadly their pitching let them down at time, resulting in a 34-26 record. If David Ross can get the most out of Yu Darvish, Kyle Hendricks and Craig Kimbrel this season, the Cubs could go 36-24, which would set them up very nicely.
Now home field advantage really won’t play a big part for the Cubs this season, but you better believe the bleacher creatures will still be rowdy from the rooftops and Wrigleyville will be ready to watch some ball.
Want to watch a game live this year? Be ready to pay $400 for a roof seat by Wrigley Field.
