Quarterback Kyle Allen has been impressive. He has thrown seven touchdowns and Allen has yet to throw an interception this season.
There are teams that are interested in Cam Newton. The trade deadline is on Tuesday October 29. Teams have until 4 p.m. Eastern to make a deal.
So far this season, Newton has completed 50-of-89 passes for 572 yards and one interception. He has also rushed for -2 yards on five carries. Which teams could use the services of Cam Newton?
The first team that comes to mind is the Chicago Bears. Chicago is 3-3 so far this season and it appears as if they have had enough of Mitchell Trubisky. Trubisky has regressed instead of progressed. The Bears have an elite defense. Chicago would be so much different on offense with him.
The second team that comes to mind is the Tennessee Titans. They are 3-4 so far this season. Tennessee started Ryan Tannehill in place of Marcus Mariota last week at home against the Los Angeles Chargers in a 23-20 win. The Titans are in the wild card race. Tennessee has a very good roster and things could change in the AFC with Cam Newton at quarterback. It would be very interesting to see. The AFC South race would come down to the wire if that’s the case.
The third team that comes to mind is the Denver Broncos. The Joe Flacco experiment has not worked in Denver and it appears as if General Manager John Elway has no idea how to evaluate quarterbacks. One of the things is, this team will be more of sellers than buyers.
The fourth team that comes to mind is the Los Angeles Chargers. It appears as if the Philip Rivers era is coming to an end in Los Angeles. He is on the final year of his deal and in order to compete for championships, Cam Newton would be a solution.
