Akron, OH,

On paper Akron (1st East) should've mopped the floor with Cadence Chicago (Last West) on Saturday night, and the first half headed in that direction. The Vulcans jumped out on their foes 5-0 at half and looked like a breeze. Whatever the Cadence coach said at halftime to his team worked, as the Chicago area Pro Futsal team not only came out on fire in the second half but also with an edge.

The second half was a bit contentious, as several yellow cards, words and some shoves were exchanged between the two teams. After jumping ahead 6-0, the Vulcans allowed 3 unanswered goals by Cadence to cut the score to 6-3. Each team would score again leaving the final at 7-4 and moving Akron's win streak to 6 games.

The game was once again broadcast right here on 12oz Sports TV in front of a nice sized crowd in Goodyear Hall. Make sure to attend in person if in the Akron area, or watch live right here on March 14th (next home game) when the Vulcans host Lansing City in the second leg of a back to back, home and home series with the team from Michigan.
