There was no March Madness, we are now in April. We need a tournament that will give us something to look forward to once this Pandemic is over. When it's done, everyone will want to go out to eat, but where? A CHAIN RESTAURANT OF COURSE!!

That is why I have made a bracket of the 16 top chain restaurant appetizers. I found some sites that listed 1-16. I then just ordered them how I thought appropriate. Check it out:
Ok, so let's take a look at the matchups for round 1.
1 vs 16: The Bloomin Onion is the top dog going into this tournament. Mainly because it's delicious and I saw it on the Netflix show Ugly Delicious, which is what sparked this idea. It takes on California Pizza Kitchens Lettuce Wraps. I'm not going to lie, this should be a bloodbath in favor of the App from down under.
Projected Winner: Bloomin Onion
2 vs 15: It's the Skillet Queso from Chilis taking on Fried Pickles from Red Robin, in my mind not yummm, this is a matchup of the normal against the oddball. There are people who love fried pickles. They may come out in droves for this matchup. My guess is they wont, but they could. Skillet Queso is the perfect chip/dip combo. We all love cheese, make it hot and gooey with some meat thrown in.....that's a sure fire winner.
Projected Winner: Skillet Queso
3 vs 14: It's the that golden fried deliciousness of Calamari from Red Lobster against the green machine Avocado eggrolls from BJs. I'll be honest, I'm not a seafood guy, but I know Calamari is tasty. It has a tough matchup against the Avocado eggrolls, but since the avocado isn't guacamole, I think the Calamari will safely move on.
Projected Winner: Calamari
4 vs 13: It's the Lasagna Fritta against Rattlesnake bites. This is a heavy appetizer in the lasagna fritta from Olive Garden, I mean it's fried parmesan lasagna in a alfredo sauce. That is what we love though, we as people love the fried anything. It matches up against the Rattlesnake bites from Texas Road House. They are little balls stuffed with jalepeno and cheese delight. I personally would go with the rattlesnake. I'm calling an upset.
Projected Winner: Rattlesnake Bites
5 vs 12: Fried Mac and Cheese, does anything sound better? I mean, not really, but the Empanadas from On the Border Grill will give it a shot. It's a battle of ooey gooey mac and cheese from the Cheesecake Factory against little beef stuffed pockets of goodness. In the end, I give the nod to the OG classic fried mac and cheese, because if it's from the factory you know you're getting portions for a small army of giants and not just you and your friend Bob.
Projected Winner: Fried Mac and Cheese
6 vs 11: We got ourselves a crab off! It's the rangoon versus crab dip. Which way will people like to get crabby?!?!? I HAVE NO CLUE!!!

Projecte Winner: Rangoons
7 vs 10: This is an interesting matchup. You've got the creamy spinach and artichoke dip from Applebees that, let's be honest, we've all had by ourselves going up against a classic of loaded potato skins from Fridays. This is going to be a close matchup. I actually think this is the second upset of the 1st round and the potato skins come out on top. People love themselves potato, cheese, and bacon. It's a triple threat that can't be contained this round.
Projected Winner: Loaded Potato Skins
8 vs 9: The final matchup. The classic "anyone can win" game. It makes sense. We have mini corn dogs rom Buffalo Wild Wings going against the appetizer sampler from Friendlys. It will all come down to if people want the variety and get a little of each appetizer or if they just want a bunch of one thing. The mini corn dogs are delectible and give a carnival vibe to the beginning of your meal, but the app sampler I think will take it. How do you pass up a mozzarella sticl, onion rings, 1 piece of a quesadilla, and some chips with dip? You don't.
Projected Winner: Appetizer Sampler
