Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs missed practice on Wednesday. Diggs missed practice because it was non-injury related. The only explanation to this is that he is frustrated with quarterback Kirk Cousins and Stefon Diggs wants out of Minnesota.
There are some reports out there that Diggs will most likely not get traded, but you never know. He did catch seven passes for 108 yards in a 16-6 loss on the road this past Sunday against the Chicago Bears.
The Vikings face the New York Giants on Sunday. If Stefon Diggs does not show up on Thursday or Friday to practice, it is possible he could sit out the game this weekend. Adam Thielen and Laquon Treadwell would then be the number one and number two receiving options.
Kyle Rudolph needs the ball more in his hands. They can’t rely on Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison the entire time by running the football. Head Coach Mike Zimmer knows that Kirk Cousins is extremely limited.
Stefon Diggs has caught 13 passes for 209 yards and a touchdown so far this season. Diggs could be putting up better numbers if Cousins was playing better. Minnesota should have kept Case Keenum around.
Stefon Diggs would be putting up better numbers if he played for a better quarterback. Some of the potential teams he could be traded to is the New York Giants, the Washington Redskins, the Baltimore Ravens, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the New England Patriots, and the Seattle Seahawks.
I am very curious to see what happens with this situation within the next couple of weeks. The NFL Trade Deadline is on Tuesday October 29 at 4 p.m. Eastern. There have been players across the NFL this season that have already requested trades.
