2019 NFL Draft Hats from New EraThe New Orleans Saints and the Los Angeles Rams faced each other in an NFC Championship Rematch from last season, but this time the game was in Los Angeles. There was officiating controversy in this game again.

In the second-quarter with the game tied at three, Jared Goff was strip sacked and Cameron Jordan clearly recovered the ball and it appeared as if he was going to score a touchdown. However, the refs called it incomplete for some reason.

New Orleans got the ball because he clearly recovered the ball. The whistle was blown after Jordan had full possession of it. The call didn’t dictate the game because Drew Brees got hurt in the first-quarter with a thumb injury and the Saints lost 27-9 to the Rams.

Brees completed 3-of-5 passes for 38 yards and one interception. Aaron Donald was the one who injured him, but he also got hurt in the first-half with a back injury and Donald eventually returned to the game in the second-half.

Teddy Bridgewater came into the game for New Orleans and he completed 17-of-30 passes for 165 yards. Bridgewater also rushed for five yards on two carries.

I thought Taysom Hill was going to see some action at quarterback, but he never did. Hill did catch two passes for 16 yards receiving.

Michael Thomas was the leading receiver for this team with 10 receptions for 89 yards receiving.

Alvin Kamara was the leading rusher for New Orleans with 45 yards on 13 carries. He caught one pass for 15 yards receiving.

With the game tied at six in the third-quarter, Todd Gurley scored on a 4-yard touchdown run for Los Angeles. He finished the game with 63 rushing yards on 16 carries and a score. Gurley also caught three passes for four yards receiving.

Jared Goff threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Brandin Cooks later in the third-quarter. Cooks finished with three receptions for 74 yards receiving and a score. He also rushed for two yards on one carry.

Goff completed 19-of-28 passes for 283 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed for -2 yards on four carries and a touchdown.

With the Rams leading 20-9 in the fourth-quarter, Jared Goff scored on a 1-yard touchdown run.

Greg Zuerlein made two field goals from 24 and 22 yards out for Los Angeles.

Will Lutz made three goals from 34, 52, and 42 yards out for New Orleans.

Drew Brees is concerned that he could miss some time and this may not be a good thing for the Saints.

The New Orleans Saints (1-1) will go on the road and face the Seattle Seahawks (2-0) next Sunday. The Los Angeles Rams (2-0) will go on the road and face the Cleveland Browns (0-1) next Sunday night.
