Matchweek 18: Czech Fortuna Liga

Cody Janzen

I told everyone that Slavia vs Boleslav would be a thriller and damn I was right.

Komlicenko had two goals, but it wasn’t enough as Slavia Prague won 3-2. Karvina made some people very rich thanks to an upset of Jablonec, Sparta dropped the ball against Teplice and Bohemians Praha continue to sink.

Slavia holds a four point lead on the tables ahead of Plzen, and with the Jablonec loss, they’re now 13 points back and tied with Ostrava for 3rd. (Where is Sparta though??)

Sparta Prague has to be one of the most disappointing teams of the season, a massive drop off for a team who use to be a euro contender.

Mlada Boleslav’s Nikolay Komlicenko is still leading the league in goals with 17.
