Kenny Anderson suffers stroke

Former NBA All-Star Kenny Anderson has just had a stroke.

Anderson recently completed his first year coaching Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee which competes in the NAIA. He’s 48 years old and in a statement the university said on Tuesday that the community extends its “thoughts and prayers” to Anderson and his family.

A family spokeswoman Lina Catalfamo Plath confirmed that Anderson had the stroke. He played for several NBA teams from 1991 to 2005 and he was an All-Star in 1994 while playing for the Nets. The Nets selected him out of Georgia Tech with the number 2 pick in the 1991 draft.
