Jordan Love Disappoints; Give Aaron Rodgers Whatever He Wants

Glenn Kaplan

Jordan Love made his first career NFL start for the Green Bay Packers on Sunday afternoon on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs with Aaron Rodgers sidelined due to a COVID-19 positive test. Jordan Love was completely erratic in a 13-7 loss on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Green Bay’s defense kept them in this football game throughout. Love’s only touchdown pass was to Allen Lazard from 20 yards out with less than five minutes remaining in regulation time. Jordan Love completed 19-of-34 passes for 190 yards one touchdown and one interception.

I get it was his first career start and all, but he has been sitting on the bench and holding the clipboard for the last year and a half behind Aaron Rodgers. The fact that Love showed completely no signs of development and progress is a major problem. The Green Bay Packers traded up to draft Love in the 2020 NFL Draft out of Utah State.

This is what the Green Bay Packers organization wants at the quarterback position moving forward? The front office needs to give Aaron Rodgers whatever contract and whatever players he wants. If you let Aaron Rodgers walk after this season, they will be a 1-16 football team with Jordan Love at quarterback.

Aaron Rodgers is a Top 5 quarterback in the NFL. He is also one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history. Say what you want about Rodgers narcissistic behavior at times, but the Green Bay Packers have to have him, period.

Davante Adams clearly missed him today. Head coach Matt LaFleur I’m sure missed him also. He probably didn’t trust Jordan Love at all. Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon ran hard today, but they also missed Aaron Rodgers.

Had the Green Bay Packers had Aaron Rodgers available for this football game today, there is no way that the Green Bay Packers would have lost. Aaron Rodgers makes them a Super Bowl contender. Jordan Love makes the Green Bay Packers number one overall pick in the NFL Draft contenders.

Green Bay must know after this football game that they can’t choose this route. Aaron Rodgers is probably saying to this organization, I told you so right now.

The Green Bay Packers know they have been wrong this whole time about Aaron Rodgers. It is time for them to stop taking him for granted. Jordan Love is the reason why this organization needs to stop taking Aaron Rodgers for granted. End of story.

The Kansas City Chiefs (5-4) next game will be on the road next Sunday night against the Las Vegas Raiders (5-3).

The Green Bay Packers (7-2) next game will be at home next Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks (3-5).
