Glenn Kaplan

The Dallas Cowboys really saved their best performance of the regular season for Sunday night football for everyone to see against The Washington Football Team. Dallas dominated this football game against Washington from start to finish in 56-14.

The Cowboys lead The Washington Football team at halftime 42-7. Dak Prescott maybe had the best of the game of the regular season for Dallas. He completed 28-of-39 passes for 330 yards and four touchdowns. Prescott also rushed for 21 yards on four carries.

He threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Ezekiel Elliott and a 9-yard touchdown pass to Dalton Schultz in the first quarter for Dallas. Also in that first quarter, Demarcus Lawrence picked off Taylor Heinicke of Washington and Lawrence returned it 40 yards for a touchdown. This football game was a complete avalanche. Trevon Diggs also picked off Heinickie in the first quarter for Dallas and Diggs has now 11 interceptions on the season for the Dallas Cowboys.

Dak Prescott also threw two more touchdown passes in the second quarter for the Dallas Cowboys. He threw a 1-yard touchdown pass to offensive lineman Terence Steel and also a 13-yard touchdown pass to Amari Cooper.

Cooper was Dallas’s leading receiver with seven receptions for 85 yards and a score.

Dalton Schultz caught eight passes for 82 yards receiving and a touchdown for the Cowboys.

Ezekiel Elliott also scored on an 11-yard rushing touchdown for Dallas in the second quarter. He was the leading rusher with 37 yards rushing on nine carries and a score. His 5-yard touchdown reception was his only reception in this football game.

CeeDee Lamb caught four passes for 66 yards receiving for Dallas. This offense is loaded from top to bottom and it is Super Bowl Caliber.

The Dallas Cowboys added insult to injury in the second-half also. They blocked a punt in the third quarter by Camaron Cheeseman and Chauncey Golston recovered it in the end zone for a touchdown.

Cooper Rush also threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Malik Turner in the fourth quarter for Dallas. Turner caught three passes for 82 yards receiving and a touchdown for the Cowboys. He also had a 61-yard reception on that same drive and they completely embarrassed the Washington Football Team.

Washington’s playoffs hopes are on life support at this point in time and they probably won’t make it this year. They won the NFC East title last season.

The Dallas Cowboys are NFC East Champions and this is the 17th consecutive season the NFC East has not had a back-to-back winner. Dallas is going to be an extremely dangerous football team moving forward and they’re currently the number two seed in the NFC. The Cowboys need to win their last two games and need the Green Bay Packers (12-3) to slip up once in order to get it anyhow.

The Dallas Cowboys (11-4) next football game will be at home this Sunday against the reeling Arizona Cardinals (10-5).

The Washington Football Team’s (6-9) next football game will be at home this Sunday against the surging Philadelphia Eagles (8-7).
