The Cincinnati Bengals had a bye week last week and were looking to snap its two-game losing streak. Cincinnati did just that on the road against the Las Vegas Raiders in a 32-13 win.
This was a huge win for them because they were eighth in the AFC entering the day. The Bengals are now the fifth seed in the AFC. Had the Baltimore Ravens (7-3) lost to the Chicago Bears (6-4) earlier in the day, Cincinnati would have been back in first place in the AFC North.
This was only a 16-13 football game with 5:03 remaining in regulation until Joe Burrow threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Ja’Marr Chase.
Burrow completed 20-of-29 passes for 148 yards and one touchdown. It wasn’t his greatest game by any means, but Joe Burrow did not turn the football over once.
Chase caught three passes for 32 yards receiving and a touchdown. He could potentially be the offensive rookie of the year winner for Cincinnati.
Tyler Boyd was the Cincinnati Bengals leading receiver with six receptions for 49 yards receiving.
Derek Carr was picked off by Eli Apple on the next drive and it led to a 20-yard touchdown run by Joe Mixon to put the football game on ice.
Mixon rushed for 123 yards on 30 carries and two touchdowns for the Bengals. His other touchdown in the football game came in the second quarter on an 11-yard rush.
This team could potentially be very dangerous down the road and I could see them stringing some wins together and potentially winning the AFC North division and they have not done that since 2015.
The Las Vegas Raiders are on a three-game losing streak and they seem toast for the 2021 season.
Cincinnati’s head coach Zac Taylor deserves a ton of credit for fixing this team over the bye week. Sam Hubbard and Trey Hendrickson were solid on the defensive side of the football for the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Cincinnati Bengals (6-4) next game will be at home next Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers (5-4-1).
The Las Vegas Raiders (5-5) next game will be on the road on Thanksgiving Day against the Dallas Cowboys (7-3).
