2019 NFL Draft Hats from New EraThe New York Jets thought they were going to roll over the Miami Dolphins on the road in this game even though New York only has one win on the season and Miami has yet to win a game this season.

Instead, the Dolphins shocked the Jets and they won the game by a score of 26-18.

This was Brian Flores’s first win as an NFL Head Coach. He was the defensive coordinator last season for the New England Patriots.

This was the first time that Adam Gase was returning to Miami as a member of being the New York Jets head coach. There were New York fans that were chanting for Gase to be fired after this game. By the way this is going, I would not be surprised to see this happen.

Adam Gase has not been a good head coach at all and it appears as if Sam Darnold has regressed compared to getting better.

Speaking of Darnold, he threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Jamison Crowder in the first-quarter. Darnold completed 27-of-39 passes for 260 yards one touchdown and one interception. He also rushed for one yard on two carries.

Crowder caught eight passes for 83 yards receiving and a touchdown.

The Dolphins scored three touchdowns in the second-quarter. Preston Williams caught two touchdowns from Ryan Fitzpatrick from 12 yards out and five yards out. Fitzpatrick threw the other touchdown pass to DeVante Parker from 17 yards out.

Fitzpatrick completed 24-of-36 passes for 288 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for two yards on five carries.

Williams caught five passes for 72 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Parker caught four passes for 57 yards receiving and a touchdown.

Mike Gesicki was the leading receiver in this game for Miami with six receptions for 95 yards receiving.

Mark Walton was the leading rusher in this game for the Miami Dolphins with 29 yards rushing on 12 carries. He also caught three passes for 12 yards receiving.

With 48 seconds remaining in the first-half after a New York Jets touchdown was overturned, Sam Darnold was picked off on the next play by Jomal Wiltz.

Ryan Fitzpatrick tried to get out of the endzone near the end of the first-half, but he was tackled by James Burgess for a safety.

With six seconds remaining, Sam Ficken kicked a 52-yard field goal with six seconds remaining in the first-half to cut the New York deficit to 21-12.

With Miami leading 24-15 in the fourth-quarter, Sam Darnold was not aware of the snap and the Miami Dolphins scored a safety on the play to go up 26-15.

Sam Ficken made a 29-yard field goal for the Jets with 14 seconds remaining to get it to 26-18, but New York failed to recover the onside kick.

Le’Veon Bell was the leading rusher in this game for New York. He rushed for 66 yards on 18 carries. Bell also caught eight passes for 55 yards receiving. He did not speak to the media after the game.

New York Jets safety Jamal Adams left the game with a possible concussion.

This team is a mess right now. They traded defensive tackle Leonard Williams to the New York Giants earlier in the week and it was the first time in franchise history that has happened.

They almost traded Adams and Bell.

The New York Jets (1-7) will host the New York Giants (2-6) next Sunday. The Miami Dolphins (1-7) will be on the road against the Indianapolis Colts (5-3) next Sunday.
