The Charlo Twins have arrived at the
grand stage not the way they envisioned
but now there is no holding back the Twin
brothers who are establishing a legacy
they already have made by being the 1st
Twin brothers to hold titles simultaneously
also the both hold the WBC Championship
in their respective divisions the Light and
Regular Middleweight.
Jermell Charlo is the Light Middleweight
(Super Welterweight) coming off a thrilling
TKO of Tony Harrison back in December
when the two had a rematch from highly
controversial decision in Brooklyn in
January Of 2019 in which Harrison won a
decision and took the zero off Charlo’s
record. This was motivation for Charlo and
the trash talk from Harrison also played a
big factor. In a gut check performance
Charlo figured out the technical Harrison
and landed a huge shot in the
championship rounds to reclaim his belt
and continue his path to being the
undisputed champ at 154.
Jermall Charlo who is undefeated and
a champ in one of the deepest divisions in
boxing the Middleweight division(160) has
some big names(Canelo/GGG) Charlo has
been chasing for years and now he holds
the coveted Green Belt(WBC) fought
opponents that are tough but not on the
same level as Charlo this isn’t his fault
these fights have tried to be made several
times with money seeming to be the
deciding factor of fights falling through.
The Twin brothers will have their big
moment on PPV and their getting this
opportunity due to their highlight reel
knockouts. On September 26th they both
will be in up against some very talented
boxers.
Jermell will be in a unification bout
against IBF/WBA(Super) 154 Champ
Jeison Rosario(20-1-1 14 KOs) who
stopped Julian Williams with 5th Round
TKO in Philly which is also Williams
hometown on January 18th at the
Liacouras Center. This was an big upset
as Rosario as +950 underdog a huge
payout for his loyal fans.
Jermall will be taking on the highly ranked
Sergiy Derevyanchenko who had wars
with both Danny Jacobs and Gennady
Glolovkin. There where some fans and
media that felt he beat Glolovkin Madison
Square Garden.Now he has another
opportunity to win a title but faces
another elite fighter in the division in
Charlo.
This PPV card features 6 fights but PBC
will have a full slate of fight featiring up
and coming boxers for the non PPV
broadcast which will probably land on the
Showtime streaming services and their
various channels on cable this will be
announced once that portion is confirmed.
Will the Charlo Twins continue their path
to the top of the mountain in the
Middlewight division or will their
opponents shock the boxing world tune
into Showtime PPV to see how it shakes
out.
