I was 13. It was bitter cold outside and the fireplace in the basement roared just off to my right. My chair, 3 feet in front of the TV the entire game. I was intense, the game was intense. I clung to every single play. My team was one of the contenders, and some horse toothed quarterback who always smiled came to town to crush my hopes. Little did I know it would not be the last time, but this day felt different. We had them pinned at the 1 and under 3 minutes left in the game. This is over, right?

While today's game with the Chiefs is very different, it feels like a right of passage. We have been cursed by "The Move", not "The Drive." We were shafted in the expansion draft and had to watch our original team (Ravens) win a title soon after stealing our team. We had coaches who couldn't coach small college, quarterbacks that were the laughingstock, and even our current owner at one point could care less about winning.
So-called "experts" claimed Baker would be a bust and that this team was nowhere near playoff-caliber. Then they predicted the Steelers would handle us. The same people brushed off how wrong they were as if their bad takes were dandruff on a white shirt, barely paying attention. Now, many of them actually laughed out loud on air this past week at the notion we would contend with the almighty Chiefs. This is what Brown's fans have been waiting for since the late '90s, a dual-threat rushing attack and a quarterback with actual Moxy. I do not care who is on the other side, this is our moment.
